About the Author
Helen Claringbull is a Music Teacher in a Secondary School in the South East of England. Having always had a passion for reading and writing, writing her first attempt at a novel as a teenager. She finally put pen to paper properly in 2006, and over the course of two years managed to write a full novel, yet it was several years later that her typed manuscript became her first published novel; The Greatest Gift.
A Fairytale Christmas was the next book to be published, closely followed by A Fairytale Reality, both of which Helen had been working on throughout 2019.
In her third novel, Helen not only continued the story started in her first ‘Fairytale’ book, A Fairytale Christmas, but in exploring the future that Maddie and Adam carve out for themselves, Helen found the perfect opportunity to entwine their lives with those characters we first met in The Greatest Gift, meaning that this book is a sequel in every sense of the word, and one which Helen truly enjoyed writing.

Helen's fourth novel is unconnected to the previous three. Written in 2020, whilst not in any way an autobiography, as the lead character Lucile does not bear any real resemblance to Helen other than that they are both diagnosed with the same medical condition, Helen has drawn upon many of her own medical experiences whilst writing the book and hopes that it will, in some small part, raise awareness of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Helen's fifth novel is another stand alone novel, unconnected to the rest of her collection. She first began writing it in 2012, and decided to revisit it in 2020 and complete the story that she had begun to tell.

Novel number six, released in May 2020, is a continuation of the Fairytale series, but it does not have the storyline that Helen expected at the time A Fairytale Reality was published. The worldwide Coronavirus Pandemic somewhat thwarted Helen's original ideas for the novel, and so the lives of Maddie, Adam and their family and friends took a different turn from the one she had expected. Similarly, the title changed to a Fairytale Disrupted, because like so much in the world during April and May 2020, life for the characters was most definitely disrupted, as was the planned storyline.

In addition to her novels, in August 2020, Helen released an autobiographical account of her experiences shielding throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic. This was originally never intended for publication, yet helen felt it was important to share her experiences and to tackle the stigma around mental health. The Hopes and Fears is now available, alongside her novels, on Amazon.

Helen's next work, released in December 2020, is the fourth book in the Fairytale Series; A Fairytale Resolved. This novel addresses how the characters in the previous books in the series cope with a tragedy that befalls the resolutions made as a result.

In 2021, Helen published her eighth novel, a stand alone book called Lost in the Music. This was followed a year later by One Last Conversation and in the Autumn of 2023 she published her most recent publication, Finding Forgiveness.

Helen continues to teach full time, writing books as a hobby in what little free time she has, so it may be another year before any further books are written and released, but Helen has a number of projects she is working on, including a further instalment in the hugely popular Fairytale series.
