It’s been a while!

The Spring Term has been completely crazy at work, and although I did manage to get some writing done in the Half Term break, I was so consumed with catching up with previously neglected friends and family, not to mention reading two fantastic books released this month by favourite authors of mine (Cathy Glass - Too Scared to Tell and Margaret Dickinson - The Spitfire Sisters) that I didn’t do as much as I’d planned.

Today however, I managed to get home from work relatively early, and I’ve finally managed to write another chapter of one of three books I’m currently working on. The story for this chapter has been floating around in my head since Sunday morning, but today is the first chance I’ve had to make sense of my ideas and type them up!

The book I’m working on today is one very close to my heart, because the protagonist is experiencing a lot of things I’ve personally experienced. I’m not going to say more than that at the moment, but suffice to say it’s a book I feel I need to write. For those Fairytale fans, please don’t worry as there will be a third book at some point this year (its 50% written!) but I‘m holding fire on that for a few weeks because I want to get this one written first. There’s also a third book (which I started writing in 2012!!) that might get finished sooner or later, but I’m not sure where I want to go next with that one yet so its temporarily shelved again!

So, that’s the update for now... I’m hoping the ideas will keep flowing and that I’ll find more time to write over the coming weekends so hopefully by Easter I’ll be close to publication of at least one of the three books!!
