Time to relax - A time to write!

If I said that work is manic at the moment, it wouldn’t be an understatement. As producer and musical director of our school production of Grease, not to mention all my usual school roles and responsibilities, I’m run ragged. I was in school for over 12 hours yesterday and the same each day every day last weeI. I also did two eight hour days of rehearsals this weekend. I’m knackered, but I’ve been desperate to find time to write, as I’d got ideas swimming round in my head that I wanted to get down on the computer before I forgot them.

Today, thanks to a hospital appointment forcing me to leave after a mere ten hours on site, and despite the pesky roadworks determined to delay my journey home, I was home by 5.30pm. I could have just collapsed in a heap, but instead, once I’d eaten for sustenance, I got my laptop out and started typing. I’ve only managed to add a couple of thousand words; not much in the grand scheme of a book, but I feel relaxed and refreshed. I needed to do that!

I’d love the time to add more, but my brain is fried and I’ll make mistakes if I keep going. This book has been a long time in the making (until 2020, it was last saved in 2012) and I want to get it right. I have ideas for Fairytale book 3 too, but I’ve simply jotted those down as generic ideas for now rather than trying to order them into narrative.

Tonight will probably prove to be my only chance to write for the rest of this half term so I’ve made the most of it. I’m definitely looking forward to the half term holiday in a couple of weeks, and the time to recover and write more!

I have thoroughly enjoyed your first two books and have just bought A Fairytale Reality - can’t wait to get started on it and look forward to many more books by you. I have not read for years and now I can’t wait to read more. Maria
